BIG hair? Check. Movie-star styling? Check. Spray-on couture gown? Check. It has to be a Richard De Chazal glamour shot.

This time featuring star sibling Mimi Macpherson. The whale watcher is vamping it up as part of her new gig with cosmetics brand Evolve Makeup.

Back in town after several months abroad, Dicky worked his photographic magic with Mimi last week and the three-time REIQ Supreme Award winner admitted his fashion design work has taken a backseat.

“Most of the work I seem to be doing now is photographic which is fine. I enjoy it,” said Richard De Chazal, who is also showing gowns this Friday at a high tea event at the Marriott Hotel.

Let’s hope it goes better than his shambolic last effort at NRA Fashion Design Awards on the Gold Coast which received a scathing review for going ahead two hours late.

“It was so badly organised. The show was supposed to start at 7pm and the models didn’t start arriving until 6.30pm. The were no make-up and hair people - it was disastrous and entirely not my fault,” he told Confidential.

As for his shoot with one of Australia’s best-known siblings, De Chazal says Mimi was a dream.

“She is so lovely. So unassuming and a really lovely girl,” he said.
